Louis Vuitton opens at London Heathrow

As of today London’s Heathrow Terminal 5 is home to Louis Vuitton’s first European airport store.

Luxury brand Louis Vuitton has added its name to the list of high-end outlets at Heathrow’s Terminal 5.

The new shop, dedicated to showcasing the best of the brand’s travel heritage, joins Dior and Cartier among other top retailers at the London airport.

The shop itself is testament to the brand’s dedication to exquisite fittings. It has over 300 square metres of floor space, with goods displayed on transparent plastic units and metallic striped glass ‘fins’ finished in bronzed anodized aluminium adorning the shop front.

As well as Vuitton’s iconic luggage, the store also stocks women’s ready to wear and shoe collections, accessories, sunglasses, fine jewellery and watches.

The exterior was created by Ange Leccia. She said: “The house invited me to curate an exhibition titled Travelling in Paris and I have works in Louis Vuitton’s collection.’

‘I hope [this creation] will bring nature and silence into this space. I hope it creates a relaxing area for the consumer.’
