Agio Cigars, one of the world’s leading cigar manufacturers, is unveiling its latest expansion in the luxury arena, Balmoral Añejo XO, at next month’s TFWA event in Cannes.

Balmoral Añejo XO is a range of premium Dominican Republic handmade cigars, borne out of the success of the existing Balmoral range. This new collection of travel retail exclusives will be available from early November 2017 and includes four new products, all presented in small and convenient packs tailored specifically for travelling consumers. Three are single variety 4-packs of Gran Toro, Rothschild Masivo and Petit Robusto FT cigars. The fourth new product is an elegant gift box, containing an assortment of five handmade cigars, offering choice and flexibility to connoisseurs. The gift box includes two Petit Robusto FT cigars, two Rothschild Masivo cigars and one Gran Toro cigar. To optimise flavour, Balmoral Añejo XO products should be displayed in-store in cigars humidors.

The Balmoral Dominican Selection (BDS) was launched in 2012 and is now available in leading international airports. It is widely recognised as a quality cigar range, offering a mild aromatic taste. Building on this success, Balmoral Private Collection 25 (BPC 25), a travel retail exclusive gift box was launched in 2016 and contains 25 assorted cigars taken from the selection. BPC 25 is now listed in airports in Asia, Europe and the Middle East, including Dubai and Singapore international airports. This year, a limited edition Year of the Rooster pack was listed in Dubai and Seoul international airports and there are plans to roll out a Chinese New Year special edition box more widely next year. To drive sales, Agio Cigars provides Balmoral in-store display units, staff training and education guides for consumers.
