Luxury perfume brand Paco Rabanne has partnered with Attenza Duty Free to unveil a new pop-up store at Panama’s Tocumen International airport.
The pacomarket pop-up has been strategically located to capitalise on the 75% of transit passengers at the Panamanian airport, according to the brand’s owners Puig.

The three-month pop-up, which opened at the airport at the start of November, celebrates all three core Paco Rabanne brands: Million, Invictus/Olympéa and XS.

To help travellers find and visit the pop-up, promotional staff are on hand to give out pacomarket scratch cards, which gives passengers the opportunity to win fragrance samples and gift packs. Furthermore, the promotion is signposted by both display advertising and geo-localised Instagram and Facebook posts targeted at travelling consumers within the airport.

The pacomarket itself includes vending machine-style furniture, a baggage reclaim-inspired fragrances bar, a large digital screen and a selfie station.

Puig Global Travel Retail managing director Antoine Lafourcade said: “The pacomarket concept encapsulates the bold and playful spirit for which Paco Rabanne has become renowned in the travel retail channel.

“Tocumen is a strategic location and a dynamic environment catering to a large and diverse regional passenger mix. Such a location provided a wealth of opportunities to showcase the Paco Rabanne brand.”

Earlier this year the pacomarket pop up concept made its debut at Barcelona airport.
