Luxury fashion and lifestyle label Belstaff has announced its collaboration with eyewear brand Native Sons on a limited edition range of frames.

The collaboration collection features premium frames that come in three different colorways, where only 70 pairs of the exclusive “Thompson” aviator style were released globally.
Each pair of frames were handcrafted in the small, Japanese town of Sabae by specialist eyewear atelier created by Native Sons founders, Shinsuke Takizawa and Tommy O’Gara. The frames’ weld-lug design pays homage to historic British brand, Belstaff’s military-industrial heritage. Made with high-grade titanium and antique plated, the collection is specially made with Native Sons’ signature hand-finishing process.

The level of care and quality of design is inherent in each piece. The temples are designed with a paddle configuration in order to maintain tension on the temporal protrusion just behind the ear so that the metal frames remain comfortable to wear. Native Sons’ uncompromising design standards seem to be the ideal match for the London-based heritage brand.

Only 70 pieces of the Thompson range will be available globally, 10 in each of Belstaff’s London, New York, Milan and Munich flagship stores, and the remaining 30 online.
