The new Scotch, arriving in duty-free next year, is inspired by the rich depth of Johnnie Walker Black Label.
Diageo Global Travel has announced that Johnnie Walker Black Ruby, a sweet, smooth Scotch inspired by Johnnie Walker Black Label is coming to Travel Retail next year and will be on the Diageo stand at TFWA Cannes 2024.

With this strength Johnnie Walker Master Blender, Dr Emma Walker, has crafted Johnnie Walker Black Ruby with the express wish to showcase the incredible flavours of Johnnie Walker Black Label to a new generation of drinkers who might not have sampled Black Label or might not be Scotch drinkers.
To craft Johnnie Walker Black Ruby, Emma and her expert team patiently watch over special expressions matured in wine and bourbon casks before selecting them to craft a whisky bursting with notes of bold berries. Every whisky used to make Johnnie Walker Black Ruby is bursting with flavour in its own right; chosen at just the right moment of maturation for a sweeter, fruitier flavour profile to create a blended Scotch whisky full of bold berry notes and rich fruit flavour.
Some of the whiskies at the heart of Johnnie Walker Black Ruby are matured in first-use red wine casks or PX Oloroso seasoned casks to lend deep, rich fruit notes to the blend. While other special expressions are matured in ex-bourbon casks that charge the blend with sweet caramel and vanilla.
