Another day, another campaign for Bella Hadid – this time the model will front a new Autumn lip makeup line from NARS.
From Bulgari to Versace, Nike to Max Mara, Zanotti to TAG Heuer – the campaigns just keep coming for Bella Hadid. Now, a makeup brand is added to the mix. NARS announced that Bella is the face of its Powermatte Lip Pigment campaign. Inspired by the Rock and Roll era, she channels Joan Jett in smoky eyes, shaggy hair, and leather, in photos shot by the brand’s founder and creative director Francois Nars.
NARS’ Powermatte Lip Pigment is an Autumn 2017 launch. Featuring 20 long-wear, matte shades it will be available starting July 6 (not exactly Autumn??). This isn’t Bella’s first beauty campaign of course – she remains the face of Dior Beauty (see story).
“François Nars has such beautiful energy. He’s taken so many iconic photographs, so for me to have the opportunity to work with him was a dream come true!,” Bella told Harper’s BAZAAR Australia, “I knew it was going to be an amazing shoot because of how iconic François is, and the level of creativity he puts into the makeup and his photographs. It is incredible!”
“The model brings the product to life and gives it an identity, so matching the right model with a product is very important. I love Bella,” Nars says in a statement, “She has a very strong and powerful look that I think is very well suited to a bold product, like Powermatte.”
