Tomas Maier, Creative Director of Bottega Veneta, has unveiled the house’s newest fragrance, Eau Sensuelle: a youthful and sensual adaptation of the signature Bottega Veneta eau de parfum.

The sun setting reflects a vibrant shade of pink upon open windows and creates an intimate and sensuous mood. A young woman, illuminated by a halo of rose-coloured light, basks on the balcony in the arms of a leather chair. Her sun-kissed skin glows soft; the essence of the outdoors makes her blush. A peach tree sways below in the breeze, its fruity aroma diffused with a floral bouquet of jasmine and gardenia. The mixture embraces the room and the moment transcends time.

The signature eau de parfum was the first of the Bottega Veneta fragrances to present a legacy which pays homage to the house’s heritage through quintessential Italian moments. The heritage of Bottega Veneta, deeply rooted in Vicenza, in the Veneto region in the North East of Italy, served as inspiration for the original iconic leather chypre along with Tomas Maier’s vision of an elegant classical villa filled with sunlight and the scent of forest and flowers.

Five years later, this union between art and nature continues with Eau Sensuelle, an evolution of the fragrance into a striking fruity floral leather chypre, suggesting the suppleness and sensuality of the house’s renowned leather goods. A reinterpretation of the signature eau de parfum, the fragrance expresses an unexpected and softer side of femininity. The addition of a fresh peach note and a luxurious suede accord build upon the strength of the original leathery floral chypre with a unique, joyful twist.

Eau Sensuelle is the continuation of the collaboration between Creative Director Tomas Maier and master perfumer Michel Almairac, with Mylène Alran. The fruity floral leather chypre opens with an elegant floral accord of gardenia and Indian jasmine blended with velvety peach. The characteristic leathery trail of the Bottega Veneta fragrance house is combined with vanilla and Indonesian patchouli to create a distinct backbone. Using only the highest quality ingredients, these raw materials are woven together like the strips of leather of Bottega Veneta’s emblematic intrecciato leather goods, to create a lasting impression.

To capture the essence of the scent and keep with the house’s tradition of Art of Collaboration, Tomas Maier once again called upon legendary photographer Bruce Weber. Together with the fresh and iconic beauty of Nine d’Urso – the same talent involved in the original signature eau de parfum campaign— they created a campaign symbolic of youthful intimacy and soft sensuality.

The Eau Sensuelle packaging remains authentic to Bottega Veneta’s enduring principles of outstanding craftsmanship and timeless design. Both the fragrance flacon and box represent the house’s sophisticated aesthetic showcasing the signature hand-crafted intrecciato leather weave design. The flacon takes on a vibrant pink hue, while the box displays a degradé from pale pink to pure white. An understated pink grosgrain ribbon sits in place of the iconic leather cord. The scent features three size options, 30, 50, and 75 ml, with a body cream completing the range.
