Cath Kidston and Disney launch global collaboration

Cath Kidston has announced a collaboration with Disney. Launching in September 2016 across Cath Kidston stores globally and online, the collaboration will run over a number of seasons.

Disney and Cath Kidston Group have today announced their first collaboration: ‘Disney x Cath Kidston’, which is planned to run over a number of seasons.

Disney characters will be integrated into classic Cath Kidston prints seasonally. The first characters to feature will be those from Winnie-the-Pooh. The Winnie-the-Pooh collection will be available exclusively in Cath Kidston stores in the UK and online on 26 September 2016 and overseas from 27 September. A second Disney collection will feature Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse and will arrive in store and online on 5 December 2016. Further collections are set to roll out over time, with the Disney characters for these future ranges to be announced in due course.

The new prints will be available across all of Cath Kidston categories including accessories, homeware, kids, and fashion. The Disney x Cath Kidston range is limited edition and will be stocked in selected Cath Kidston stores in the UK, overseas and online at CathKidston.com.

The Winnie-the-Pooh collection will see the British bear and his friends featured within Cath Kidston’s signature print designs; Button Spot and Bramley Sprig. A brand new print inspired by the home of Winnie-the-Pooh and friends, Hundred Acre Wood, will also be introduced as part of the collection. The product launch coincides with Winnie-the-Pooh’s 90th anniversary celebrations in October 2016.

Produced in creative collaboration, Cath Kidston explored the Disney archives to source the original character illustrations, which were then integrated into the iconic designs from Cath Kidston’s extensive print portfolio to develop ranges for all audiences and consumer targets.
