As pioneers in the industry, Davidoff was the first brand to create a limited-edition cigar inspired by a Chinese zodiac sign in 2012. Since then, the brand has continuously been setting the standard whilst adding more product innovations to what became an annual launch. After completing the first global cycle with the Year of the Dragon Limited Edition 2024, Davidoff continues to raise the bar with a new product cycle in 2025 and delights aficionados and collectors around the world with several novelties honouring the Year of the Snake:

  • For the first time, Davidoff offers three different cigar formats: In addition to the Year of the Snake Limited Edition lancero cigar, the brand will launch a Masterpiece Humidor with an exclusive gran toro cigar and a Year of the Snake Flagship Edition Exclusive toro cigar, exclusively available for the esteemed Davidoff of Geneva since 1911 customers.
  • The cigar editions and the newly launched Accessories Gift Set will include a precious collector’s coin for aficionados to collect and exchange.
  • As a first step towards a more circular approach, Davidoff reduced the use of hard-to-recycle materials and presents the limited-edition cigars in elegant wooden boxes.
  • The packaging and the cigar ring design now includes one of the lucky colours of the zodiac sign: yellow.

LIMITED EDITION – LANCERO CIGAR

The long and slender lancero format pays homage to the shape of a snake. Although Davidoff has created lancero cigars before, the taste profile of this blend is quite unusual and a novelty for a Davidoff cigar:

The Davidoff Year of the Snake Limited Edition comes in an exciting box of ten cigars. It is limited to 17,500 boxes worldwide.

FLAGSHIP EXCLUSIVE – TORO CIGAR

For the first time, the Flagship Exclusive has been given its own toro cigar, which cannot be found anywhere else in the collection. The Year of the Snake Flagship Exclusive provides the esteemed Davidoff of Geneva since 1911 flagship store customers with the rare opportunity to acquire the popular format in a beautiful box of 24.

It is limited to 600 boxes worldwide.

ACCESSORIES GIFT SET

Making its debut, Davidoff created a beautiful Accessories Gift Set featuring a porcelain ashtray, a cigar case and a punch cutter to accompany the cigar ritual and Chinese New Year celebrations. The excitement of opening the box is enhanced by a Snake pop-up display that allows aficionados to showcase their Gift Set with the lid open. To elevate the cigar ritual, the set’s collector’s coin can be used as a cigar stand.

Limited to 500 pieces each, the accessories are only available as part of the Gift Set.

MASTERPIECE HUMIDOR & GRAN TORO CIGARS

The Year of the Snake Masterpiece Humidor is the most valuable piece of the Year of the Snake collection. The lid shows a fascinating scene of a Snake spiralling upwards through waves while protecting tobacco leaves, which were taken from the Year of the Snake cigar blend and adorned with 24-carat gold.

While the artwork was initially designed by Chinese illustrator Feifei Chen, French marquetry artist Mariane Léger creatively translated Feifei’s illustration into 326 individual pieces of varying shapes, sizes and textures and applied them to the humidor.

Each of the 25 available pieces comes with 88 gran toro cigars.

The Davidoff Year of the Snake Limited Edition products will be available as of 14 November 2024. Launch dates and availability may vary depending on country.
