Dubai Duty Free (DDF) has introduced concierge service to assist customers with their purchases and minimise physical contact. DDF partially reopened its retail area in Concourse B – west at Dubai International Airport (DXB) on June 7.
Under this new initiative, the customer can order products from the concierge counter, the goods will then be picked by the duty-free staff and delivered to the customer for payment.
They have also re-introduced the ‘click and collect’ service, allowing customers to order online 48 hours before travelling, with the goods available for pick up on departure.
Other measures adopted by the retail establishment include directional floor markings and wayfinding, a one shopper one trolley policy, the installation of plexiglass at the point of sale, cash and product sanitisation equipment.
Customers are also encouraged to use contactless payments. In-store digital and print signages are also in place to remind shoppers of these safety measures.
Commenting on the partial reopening, Dubai Duty Free’s executive vice chairman and chief executive officer, Colm McLoughlin said, ‘We were pleased to receive the approval from the government authorities to open our shops in Concourse B-west and we are happy to be back and serving our customers once again.
“We have been planning the re-opening since mid-April and have put in place an extensive range of sanitisation and re-zoning measures that will ensure the safety of our customers and our staff’.”
Retail operations at Terminal 2 are expected to recommence very soon.
To make shopping even easier, @DubaiDutyFree has now added a concierge service to help with purchases and the click & collect service is still available for those who prefer to shop online, with a 5% discount. #DXBReady (2/2) pic.twitter.com/CooqO1CBx0
