Gigi Hadid and Kendall Jenner front the new Fendi campaign – the first to show off the brand’s new logo…
“For the Fendi Fall/Winter 2017-18 advertising campaign, I took inspiration from the new logo of the Maison, that for me is like an “F en Folie”, because of its crazy and unexpected upside-down position.
I chose to play with exaggerated-scale versions of this logo and with the main colours of the collection, a mix of certain blues, camel and obviously red,” explains Karl Lagerfeld.
The Fall/Winter 2017-18 advertising campaign, called F en Folie features the top sought after models of the moment Gigi Hadid and Kendall Jenner, shot by Karl Lagerfeld in very strong poses and in a modern yet playful set made of giant and colourful new monogram ring logo in different sizes, named F is Fendi.
Perfectly embodying the spirit of the Collection, this new advertising campaign pays homage to Fendi’s DNA, synonymous of innovation, modernity, energy and incredible savoir-faire. The cinematic and geometric vibe of the Collection, as well as the codes of fine craftsmanship and the graphic heritage of Fendi, come to life, balancing future and traditions with the use of exquisite workmanships and materials in an extremely feminine and contemporary way.
Geometric prints and patterns recall the geometry of the new F is Fendi logo, while colours exude autumnal warmth: from carmine red, like sealing wax, to camel, cobalt and petrol blue, they highlight the Collection’s decorative and modern hand.
