Hermès has unveiled it long-awaiting new feminine fragrance, Galop. The new fragrance will initially be distributed through their boutiques starting from September 2016.

This is the first major Hermès perfume created by Christine Nagel, who succeeds Jean-Claude Ellena as in-house perfumer of the classic French house.

The creation is presented as an Extrait de Parfum, a high concentration (which has an effect on the price), but its possible that Galop will be subsequently offered in Eau de Parfum, less exclusive, to reach a wider public.

It’s an eagerly awaited launch, because it officially marks the first steps of Christine Nagel at the reins of the perfume branch at Hermès, after she designed L’Eau de Rubarbe Ecarlate for the house in their line of Colognes. The name is chosen with the equestrian history of the house in mind. The stunning stirrup-shaped bottle is a further nod the the brand’s heritage.

Galop d’Hermès is available at Hermès boutiques and counters in the Extrait de Parfum version. The bottles are refillable, 50ml.
