Kaia Gerber steps out for Jimmy Choo

For Spring Summer 2020, Jimmy Choo both celebrates nature and manipulates it – nothing is quite what it seems.

Animalier graphics are evolved, colours intensified, humankind and nature entwined. The result is a modern genus of hybrid patterns and approaches to decoration – bold, uncompromising, heightened. The natural realm reimagined.

The collection boldly roams through animal print, an intrinsic part of the brand’s design DNA reiterated and returned to again and again. A menagerie of leopard, zebra and snakeskin are coloured, energised and combined in brave and unexpected juxtapositions. A heightened view of beauty, broadly familiar yet sharply new.

The HAWKE gives a graphicism to natural markings: Zebra and leopard rendered monochrome reminiscent of Sixties Op Art, printed on richly textural hair-calf and contrasted with shots of go-faster neon in a chisel-toed shape.

Combined animal prints become a surreal cross-pollination of species, patch worked, pieced and played with across the IMPALA sneaker.

The MADELINE has a decorative renewal: its signature faceted Choo ‘C’ is interlaced with a serpent, or studded with rose quartz and malachite.
