In a celebration of its 170 year Swiss heritage, confectioner Lindt is launching a global travel retail promotion with a Swiss Chocolate Festival.
The promotion will allow customers to save up to 30% on a range of single items such as 300g tablets, assorted Napolitains, the Lindt pralines range and classic Swiss thins. The Swiss Chocolate Festival will run at Geneva airport until mid August, at Zurich during September and October, and in Brazil and Istanbul in October.
The initiative, which will focus on the Lindt Master Chocolatier to emphasis the craftsmanship and history of the company, kicks off in Geneva. The product mix that will be promoted at Geneva is wide ranging, while a dedicated promotional space in front of the Lindt store will focus on an offer of 30% off LINDT’s 300g gold and silver tablets.
At Lindt’s ‘home city’ of Zurich, the promotion will be staged at separate promotional spaces. An installation on the airport’s level 2 will showcase the world of Lindt and the Lindt Master Chocolatiers will offer customers with a range of chocolate samples. In addition, passengers will have the opportunity to take a ‘selfie’ and have it printed on a personalised gift card. The Lindt boutique on level 2, the island on level 1, and the Lindt counter in arrivals will all also be decorated in a suitably festive style, featuring the Master Chocolatier.
The anniversary theme continues at Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro airports, where a series of Mini Dress Ups will promote price-off promotions on key product lines. Finally, in Istanbul, the promotion will take place in the main departure hall outlet, and the arrivals shop.
