Lotte Duty Free is staging a series of promotional activities to mark its 50th anniversary over the Golden Week holiday season, which runs May 13-31.
The South Korean travel retailer will host 50 “tournaments” for domestic and international tourists with prizes such as prepaid cards and Lotte family concert tickets.
Customers can purchase two concert tickets per person on a first-come-first-served basis, for shoppers who spend more than $400. Lotte Card customers can receive additional tickets when they purchase more than $500. Full details of the Lotte Duty Free Shop’s family concert will be released on 18 April.
Korean customers who have purchased more than $1 on Visa cards at any of Lotte’s outlets will be given a chance to enter a draw to win travel to Russia and tickets to the first game of the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
The retailer is inviting its customers to various cultural events from April 13, including tickets to ‘the masterpiece Man of La Manch’, available to shoppers who purchase more than $2,500 of items at Myeongdong, World Tower and Coex.
In addition, customers who purchase more than $600 at Myeongdong will be given the privilege of enjoying luxury lounge VIP space, which opens on April 27.
A spokesperson for Lotte Duty Free said: “We expect that Lotte Duty Free’s marketing promotion team will help [the] domestic tax exemption market and domestic market revitalisation through large-scale domestic promotion ahead of [the] Golden Holiday in May.”
