A new men’s fragrance from Louis Vuitton generates the desire for adventure and escape from everyday life.
Louis Vuitton’s new Météore fragrance (described as “a crystalline, powerful, and instantly bracing composition”) comes out in September 2020 and joins the men’s line of Les Parfums Louis Vuitton, founded in 2018 by L’Immensité, Nouveau Monde, Orage, Sur la Route, and Au Hasard. This line should inspire emotions similar to those we have on travel: the desire for adventure and escape from everyday life.
Météore – “a magnetic name evoking power and light”; a fragrance that “connects the sky with the earth in the spirit of modern elegance without borders.”
Louis Vuitton master perfumer Jacques Cavallier Belletrud created the new fragrance in his studio in Grasse from noble citrus essences such as Calabrian bergamot, mandarin, and orange from Sicily. He contrasted these fresh accords with spices of cardamom from Guatemala, Indonesian nutmeg, and vetiver wood from Java. The vetiver, according to the press communication, was obtained by a special distillation that got rid of the smoky notes and enhanced the amber nuances, as well as the freshness of grapefruit or moist soil.
“Here, freshness is not only a starting point, it becomes a major vector, a backbone around which all the other elements orchestrate and interlace,” says the perfumer.
Louis Vuitton Météore is available as a 100 and 200 ml Eau de Parfum, as well as in a “travel size” format.
