Italian luxury house Moschino has announced it has been collaborating with world-renowned beer brand Budweiser on the release a 15-item limited-edition capsule clothing collection.
To celebrate the brand’s launch of two limited-edition beer bottles – one for their iconic aluminium bottle, the other for their new amber lager, Budweiser Pulse – Moscino’s creative director Jeremy Scott designed a range which includes clothing and accessories that take inspiration from the beer’s iconic red, navy, gold and white label.
Scott is well-known for putting a high fashion spin on mass market cues, and this capsule collection is no different. The iconic Budweiser label is given a Moschino makeover, and splashed across t-shirts, hoodies, accessories, and the like in an eye-catching palette of red, blue, white, and gold. The amalgamated logo also appears on two limited edition beer bottles, the classic Budweiser aluminium bottle and the new Budweiser Pulse lager. Check out the collection below:
This isn’t the first time 44-year-old Scott has played with the Budweiser logo: as part of his debut ready-to-wear collection as Creative Director for the Italian fashion house in 2014, Scott sent a host of snackable ensembles down the catwalk.
These included a McDonald’s reference, a get-up with a nod to American chocolate brand Hershey’s, and one seriously eye-catching Budweiser-inspired gown. So iconic was Scott’s Budweiser gown from Moschino’s Autumn/ Winter 2014 show, that it was even incorporated in to the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute Spring 2019 exhibition, Camp: Notes on Fashion.
Moschino was founded in 1983 and rose to the forefront of the international fashion scene through its ironic, tongue-in-cheek designs. In 2013, Jeremy Scott was appointed Creative Director and the brand hit a new high with his unexpected original designs that paid homage to Franco Moschino’s original concepts but were infused Scott’s unique vision and sartorial wit.
The Moschino x Budweiser capsule collection is now available to buy while stocks last. Prices range from £170 – £1,847.
