Nike Vision introduces the next generation of Airelon, an iconic Nike silhouette from 1999, re-engineered with next-generation materials, precision engineering, and performance technology. Legends don’t retire. They evolve.
One of Nike’s most iconic eyewear designs is reimagined for the future with a collection built at the intersection of heritage, innovation, and performance. Originally introduced in 1999 as part of Nike’s Alpha Project, the Airelon frame became recognized for its distinctive floating-lens design and ultralightweight construction and worn by Nike co-founder and Chairman Emeritus of NIKE, Inc. Phil Knight.
Available now, the new eyewear collection reimagines that legacy across four styles: Nike Airelon Force, Nike Airelon Impact, and two Airelon optical styles (Nike 6096 & Nike 6097). This collection carries the unmistakable spirit of the original frames into a new era, pairing the iconic silhouette with advanced materials and technologies engineered for today’s athletes and everyday wearers.
Inspired by the original worn by generations of peak performers, Airelon Force continues its legacy through uncompromising materials, precision engineering, and timeless style. The semi-rim titanium frame and floating-lens construction create an almost weightless experience, while beta Titanium-wire temple arms, adjustable silicone nose pads and grippy ergonomic temple tips strip the design down to its most essential elements while delivering a secure, comfortable fit.
The collection also introduces the Airelon Impact, a performance-driven sunglass designed to accommodate prescription lenses. It brings the iconic Airelon design and unmistakable visual language to prescription wearers, expanding the legacy of the original silhouette without compromising its athletic spirit.
Both styles feature Nike Max Optics, an advanced lens technology that enhances visual clarity through anti-glare and anti-reflective treatments, select color enhancement, heightens contrast, and improves depth perception. Hydrophobic and oleophobic coatings help to resist water, sweat and smudges, keeping your vision clear no matter what conditions you’re in.
Rounding out the collection are two Airelon optical styles (Nike 6096 & Nike 6097), translating the distinctive Airelon aesthetic beyond sunglasses and extending its signature design language into everyday eyewear.
