Shot through the singular lens of Frank Lebon, the campaign captures the visceral energy of a collaboration built on dynamism—an expression of movement and physical power, rooted deep in the heritage of both Versace and Onitsuka Tiger.
At the heart of the campaign is the TAI-CHI Sakura, a distinctive reimagining of Onitsuka Tiger’s classic tai-chi trainers. Produced in the Sanin factory in Tottori, Japan, the collaboration is a unique coming-together of Japanese precision and Versace’s distinctive vision.
TAI-CHI Sakura Suede Trainers
These iconic TAI-CHI Sakura trainers are part of the Spring Summer 2026 collaboration with Onitsuka Tiger, representing a special fusion of Italian and Japanese craftsmanship. The pair is made from suede at the Onitsuka Tiger factory in Sanin Tottori, where the upper is treated with a washing process to achieve an aged effect. They feature double stitching on the Onitsuka Tiger stripes and a Medusa hardware as a studded embellishment on the tongue. This product has undergone a special artisanal washing process. Any variations in colour, shading, or slight imperfections should not be considered defects, but rather inherent characteristics of the craftsmanship that make each pair unique and one of a kind.
