Penrhos Spirits has launched a 5cl version of its Wonky Raspberry Gin. The travel-size bottle will be available exclusively on easyJet flights from London Gatwick and Bristol airports.

To produced the bottle, Penrhos Spirits has once again partnered with Sustainaholics, who produced the full-size aluminium bottles used for Penrhos’ products. Penrhos made the move to aluminium bottles in 2023, as part of the brand’s sustainability goals. The ‘Alumini’ bottle is made to reduce waste and make the most of storage on in-flight facilities.

Penrhos Spirits uses ‘imperfectly perfect’ fruit from Penrhos Farm, ensuring fruit that cannot be sold to supermarkets is not wasted. The brand first created the Wonky Raspberry flavour in 2022, following a summer surplus of raspberries.

Harriet Williams, Penrhos Spirits commented: “This is such an exciting step for Penrhos, being the first to launch onto easyJet with our 100% recycled aluminium bottles and our collaboration with the Sustainaholics and the Alumini. We’re keen to work with all sectors from aviation to hospitality to help everyone make a simple swap that can have a bigger long-term impact for the planet.”

David Mills, founder of Sustainaholics, added: “We’re incredibly proud to launch our award-winning Alumini in this industry-first collaboration with easyJet and Penrhos Spirits. We have the best possible launch airline in our mission to promote more travel friendly, eco-friendly solutions and showcase the innovation being delivered by the UK spirits industry today with independent challenger brands committed to producing great tasting drinks that minimise our impact on the planet.”
