Shinsegae Duty Free has introduced the industry’s first loyalty program ‘Flyquency’ that earns stamps based on the number of purchases made when leaving the country.
Flyquency is designed with a structure in which the scale of benefits increases as stamps are accumulated, strengthening the ‘lock-in’ effect that continuously induces customers to use it. The more repeated the travel and shopping experience, the more rewarded it is, designed to increase customer loyalty and build long-term relationships.
In addition, it is a new customer experience strategy that breaks away from simple discount competition and accumulates customers’ purchasing experience like an asset and returns it to differentiated benefits.
This program is operated for domestic customers, and one stamp will be earned upon purchase of $300 or more and delivery is completed. The stamp is automatically reflected 14 days after the completion of delivery and is valid for 2 years.
The stamp can be checked on ‘My Page’ in the Shinsegae Duty Free online mall (web page and app), and will be applied from May 7th.
Accumulated stamps can be exchanged for rewards for each section from 2 to 10. Customers can choose between duty-free points or purchasing some products for $1. It is designed with a structure in which only the stamps used in the reward exchange are deducted, allowing customers to flexibly use the benefits according to their consumption patterns.
The rewards consist of beauty, fashion, and lifestyle items favored by the 2030 generation. Aveda Hair Brush, Maison Margiela Perfume, GENOVA Speaker and other highly collectible products have been carefully selected, and customers can choose the items they want, increasing the sense of benefits.
Flyquency is designed based on the accumulation of the number of purchases and experience, not the accumulation of purchase amounts. The more you shop, the more benefits you expand, which encourages natural repeat visits.
Through this program, Shinsegae Duty Free plans to go beyond short-term sales-oriented promotions and launch a full-fledged long-term loyalty strategy that reflects customers’ travel cycles and consumption patterns.
Recently, as duty-free shopping has been dispersed into online purchases before departure and use of stores in the city, it reflects the growing importance of acquiring repeat customers.
Kwak Jong-woo, marketing manager of Shinsegae DF, said, “This stamp program is a new attempt to add value to the customer’s purchasing experience itself beyond simple discount benefits,” and “We will continue to advance our differentiated loyalty program based on customer usage data.”
