The Glenlivet is unveiling its latest collection of limited-release Single Cask Edition whiskies in travel retail locations worldwide.
A stunning selection for whisky connoisseurs seeking a luxurious gift for themselves or others, the Single Cask Edition is the ultimate expression from The Glenlivet’s master whisky makers. This latest collection in travel retail comprises of 15 exceptional casks from a fantastic aged inventory of between 16 and 27 years old, honouring and celebrating the consistency, dedication and commitment the masters put into every step of the whisky making process.
These limited-edition Single Cask malt whiskies will be available in travel retail across 11 locations, including Taiwan, UK, Germany, USA, Malaysia, China, Dubai, Hong Kong, Australia and Nordics.
The crafting of these incredible liquids begins with only the finest locally sourced ingredients to enhance their taste and flavour. Malted barley is selected from within a 15-mile radius, with each batch meticulously nosed and tested to ensure it reaches The Glenlivet’s exacting standards. Natural spring water from Josie’s Well, positioned on the hill behind the distillery, is frequently tested to ensure when combined with the grist it produces the maximum amount of sugar and starch possible.
The liquid is further enhanced by the distillery’s unique copper pots and the time-honoured maturation processes followed in the highest quality oak casks. Each stage of the process is closely monitored and guided by the masters’ refined senses and exceptional talent for high quality whisky creation. Every year, after several weeks of intensive and detailed procedures, only a handful of casks are selected by the expert team to be crowned as one of the Single Cask Editions.
