Global travel retail exclusive, The Lakes Distillery Boundless single malt whisky launches into Avolta duty-free stores.
Following the release of Boundless single malt whisky by The Lakes Distillery in September 2024 – a global travel retail exclusive – the brand is launching the product with leading global travel retailer, Avolta UK from the 1st July.
Boundless was showcased in September at the TFWA World Exhibition & Conference in Cannes and since then, several listings have been secured in Global Travel Retail both in the UK and internationally. The whisky itself has gone on to win a Gold medal at the International Spirits Challenge 2025, as well as a Silver medal (90 points) at the International Wine & Spirit Competition 2025.
The Avolta partnership marks an important moment for Boundless and The Lakes Distillery, as it looks to strategically grow its international footprint and champion this permanent Global Travel Retail product. Being at the forefront of the English and new world whisky movements, The Lakes Distillery is well positioned to capitalise on adventurous consumers’ thirst for innovative and experimental alternatives to the brands and bottles they typically see in Global Travel Retail spaces.
Boundless marked the first time that the whiskymakers at The Lakes Distillery handpicked only the finest first-fill Oloroso casks to guide the whisky’s maturation. The élevage technique was used to create a whisky that offers nuances of orange oil and dried fruits from European oak, layered with delicate wood spice, toasted oak, and subtle notes of vanilla from American oak.

The Lakes Distillery Boundless single malt whisky will be available from Avolta from the 1st July, priced at £99.99.
