Scottish cashmere and clothing brand Brora is to launch a new store at Edinburgh Airport.<\/p>\n

The 800 square foot outlet, which will be located airside in the main terminal building, is set to open in late February 2016 as part of a major redevelopment of the airport\u2019s retail space.<\/p>\n

Victoria Stapleton, founder and creative director of Brora, said: \u201cWe pitched against various other cashmere brands but the airport chose us for our authenticity, heritage, style and range and as significantly, our commitment to make our cashmere in Scotland.\u201d<\/p>\n

Close to 300 workers in and around Hawick rely on Brora for their livelihood and the firm said yesterday that it hoped to re-employ some of those recently made redundant from Hawick Knitwear in the Borders town.<\/p>\n

The brand has 15 stores, including branches in London shopping hotspots Sloane Square and Covent Garden.<\/p>\n
