Glenmorangie has partnered with British sunglasses company Finlay & Co. to create the \u201cworld\u2019s first\u201d whisky sunglasses created from ex-casks.<\/p>\n

The collaboration celebrates the Scotch whisky brand\u2019s \u201cpioneering approach\u201d to cask and wood management with the wooden-framed sunglasses.<\/p>\n

Finlay & Co. uses a 16-step system to create each pair of sunglasses by hand, fitting with Glenmorangie\u2019s 16 Men of Tain \u2013 the highland whisky makers who have passed the secrets of Glenmorangie whisky-making from generation to generation.<\/p>\n

Each pair of sunglasses has been made to display the cask\u2019s grain and natural finish, and will be individually numbered. Buyers will also have the option to personally engrave their pair of glasses when purchasing.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is a wonderful collaboration between two brands with a deep connection to wood and who share a similar ethos of being unnecessarily well made,\u201d said Dr Bill Lumsden, Glenmorangie\u2019s director of distilling and whisky creation.<\/p>\n

The Glenmorangie and Finlay & Co. Sunglasses are\u00a0on sale from March, and have an RRP of \u00a3300.<\/p>\n
