Fashion designer Giles Deacon has created a set of bespoke whisky stones exclusively available through duty free stores at London’s Heathrow Airport.<\/p>\n

The stones are part of the airport\u2019s month-long Whisky Experience<\/a> event, which aims to educate consumers on the category and showcase different products.<\/p>\n

Available to buy as a limited edition for \u00a370 from World Duty Free stores and World of Whiskies stores, Deacon\u2019s whisky stones have been created using soapstone and are intended as a substitute to ice cubes to cool your whisky without watering it down.<\/p>\n

The stones and accompanying pouch feature a paisley pattern inspired by William Morris.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m a huge fan of whisky and particularly enjoy sipping on Japanese blends whenever I travel, so what better way to keep my drink cool than to add a couple of hand crafted whisky stones to my tumbler,\u201d said Deacon.\u00a0Giles Deacon has worked at luxury fashion brands including Bottega Veneta and the Gucci Group.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe inspiration for my design came from a print inspired by the Victorian textile designer and writer William Morris. I love the idea that passengers can take a little inspiration from British history with them on their travels from Britain\u2019s most iconic airport.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Whisky Experience, run by World Duty Free<\/a>, is an annual event at Heathrow and will this year take place on 27 April with 300 different whiskies across all categories on sale and a number of experts on hand throughout May to offer support to consumers.<\/p>\n
