Furla is due to preview its fall-winter 2016 bag collections to duty-free industry buyers at the TFWA Asia Pacific Exhibition in Singapore next month – here’s a sneak peek at what you’ll see landing in their many airport stores later this year.<\/p>\n

Furla unveils new styles and trends to Asia Pacific buyers:\u00a0<\/strong>TFWA Asia Pacific will see a mix of new styles and trends as Furla\u2019s FW16 collection is shown to\u00a0retail buyers this May in Singapore (Stand: J22_Basement 2)<\/p>\n

The new Furla bags embody the rebellious spirit typical of the music scene, from rock to pop, and\u00a0are influenced by a metropolitan tribal beat in its more modern interpretation. The bags are\u00a0decorated with laser cuts, a true expression of contemporary artisanship, which add 3D effects and\u00a0create kaleidoscopic patterns, embellished with golden studs. The new Furla Loop<\/strong> bag, for example,\u00a0with fringes that emphasize movement and femininity.<\/p>\n

Shoulder straps, the season\u2019s protagonists, recall guitar-like straps and are enriched with details and\u00a0weave effects. The leathers are smooth, supple and soft so that they sinuously adapt to the body\u00a0becoming a unique element. Perfectly on-trend, charms convey a personal touch to each bag,\u00a0making it special for every occasion.<\/p>\n

The colour palette is sharp and well-defined, veering from black to blues to army green with\u00a0touches of deep red and metal sparkles. A collection that reflects our times, where people are\u00a0constantly exposed to stimuli and influences, where cultures meet and blend creating new\u00a0aesthetic harmonies.<\/p>\n

The Furla Valentina<\/strong> and Furla Club<\/strong> bags are characterized by a new and colourful camouflage\u00a0pattern, that becomes a manifesto of the fervent cultural mixes of big cities, especially when\u00a0matched to the new tribe tattoo themed straps and tags.\u00a0The iconic Furla Metropolis<\/strong> bag has evolved into a \u201ccreative laboratory\u201d where new dimensions,\u00a0craftsmanship and materials are developed and enriched.<\/p>\n

Also being shown is the brand new travel retail exclusive Furla bag<\/strong>, pictured below this is a limited edition set of three\u00a0crossbody bags in Saffiano leather, each with a smaller detachable pouch inside. Available in three\u00a0trendy colour combinations: Lampone & Magnolia, Onyx & Gold, and Cobalto & Silver, each bag has\u00a0an adjustable and detachable strap.<\/p>\n

\u201cAsia is extremely important to the Furla brand and accounts for 35% of our global business in\u00a0travel retail,\u201d says Gerry Munday, Furla\u2019s Global Travel Retail Director. \u201cWe are seeing significant\u00a0growth in all areas, with a 36% sales increase in 2015 thanks to our presence now in 48 countries\u00a0with a total of 195 airport doors vs 174 in 2014. We also have some exciting projects being\u00a0finalised which will be announced in due course.<\/p>\n
