FKA Twigs has been described as a rising star and an all-around enigma, but she\u2019s yet to be called a fragrance creator \u2014 until now. The music phenomenon (and Calvin Klein model) is collaborating with House of Matriarch on a fragrance due out later this year, according to the indie scent brand\u2019s founder Christi Meshell.<\/p>\n

Meshell connected with FKA Twigs two years ago when she developed a custom perfume for the performer. \u201cReal beauty knocks you a little bit off-kilter, and FKA Twigs knocks you a little bit off-kilter. She brings a feminine voice to beauty in a new and raw way,\u201d Meshell said, quoting David Byrne. \u201cI am really happy to be working with her. She\u2019s inspiring to me. She\u2019s gutsy.\u201d<\/p>\n

She added it hasn\u2019t been determined whether the upcoming scent will be a version of the custom perfume or a completely different fragrance. Regardless, don\u2019t expect FKA Twigs to rush the fragrance into Wal-Mart stores. \u201cShe\u2019s very anti-establishment like I am. She doesn’t want to sell it at any retailer,\u201d said Meshell. \u201cOvernight, she\u2019s going to add it to her web site. Her fans are dying for anything she drops.\u201d<\/p>\n
