MAKING THE IMPOSSIBLE POSSIBLE<\/strong>
\nThe new Davidoff Yamas\u00e1 has been 20 years in the making. 20 years of Henke Kelner\u2019s and his\u00a0team\u2019s expertise, of nurturing and cultivating soil that was reluctant to change. The development of\u00a0Yamas\u00e1 is the story of men who challenged the impossible in the pursuit of their dream.\u00a0For the Yamas\u00e1 region to unveil its true potential, Henke Kelner and his team had to first nurture\u00a0nature. To raise the pH levels to those that best suit the growing of tobacco (5.5 to 6.5). They\u00a0conditioned the soil by adding calcium carbonate, agricultural lime and slaked lime\/dolomitic lime. This\u00a0they did at intervals of every two months, by hand and to each and every single tobacco plant, then\u00a0once a month, before transplanting. Henke Kelner didn\u2019t rely on science. He relied on his own expert\u00a0intuition.<\/p>\n

Seed selection saw the elimination of 30 down to just 3, until only the best in terms of colour, shine\u00a0and lamina stood out. The site in Yamas\u00e1 covers 100 hectares, but only 21 are used. Henke Kelner\u00a0and his team know to rest the land between each harvest so as to let nature take its course, and to\u00a0help ensure that the unmatchable quality of the Yamas\u00e1 leaf is maintained for years to come. They\u00a0grew the tobacco in the shade, shielding it from the harmful effects of the sun.
\nThe curing process was equally as important. The \u2018yellow\u2019 stage, where the more yellow the leaf, the\u00a0better the wrapper it makes, implored Henke Kelner and his team to ensure the Yamas\u00e1 wrapper\u00a0fulfilled its true potential. For this, entirely new climate controlled curing facilities were constructed.\u00a0Moreover, the deep expertise built over the years by the Davidoff team in taming the wilder tendencies\u00a0of Nicaraguan Estel\u00ed and Condega tobaccos has helped deliver an exhilarating Yamas\u00e1 blend with all\u00a0the intensity, refinement and sophistication aficionados would expect from Davidoff.\u00a0Henke Kelner followed his dream. INTENSE<\/b>\u00a0EXHILARATION IN THE TASTING<\/strong>
\nThe cigar presents the aficionado with an appetising appearance, in colour, shine and oiliness.
\nDavidoff Yamas\u00e1 begins with an immediately noticeable spicy Nicaraguan taste. Beautiful flavours of\u00a0nut, melted with spice, coffee, cedar wood, earth and black pepper notes further delight the\u00a0aficionados\u2019 palate. The cigar has a deep and complex body that slowly reveals itself through the\u00a0elegantly aged Dominican filler tobaccos. The more intense Yamas\u00e1 binder and Yamas\u00e1 wrapper as\u00a0well as the sweetness of Nicaraguan Condega and the spiciness of Nicaraguan Estel\u00ed filler tobaccos\u00a0combine and deliver an entirely new, exhilarating earthy-spicy-sweet experience.
