Capitalising on the growth and popularity of premium bourbon, the new Kentucky straight\u00a0bourbon whisky retains the signature essence of Maker\u2019s Mark while intensifying the renowned flavours that\u00a0the brand is known for, to offer a remarkable new liquid.<\/p>\n
\nMaker\u2019s Mark Cask Strength is taken straight from the barrel, uncut and\u00a0unaltered. Created using traditional Maker\u2019s Mark processes, passed down from\u00a0generation to generation of Master Distillers, Maker\u2019s Mark Cask Strength selects\u00a0soft red winter wheat instead of rye for a bourbon that finishes at the front of the\u00a0palate. The spirit then undergoes closely guarded distilling and ageing processes,\u00a0using a lower entry proof to result in fewer tannins and smoother mouthfeel. The\u00a0barrels are then seasoned for 9 to 12 months before being rotated by hand to\u00a0ensure consistency and a great taste.<\/p>\n
As water evaporates from the barrels, the proof increases, however the shifting\u00a0summer temperatures of Kentucky means that the angel\u2019s share differs\u00a0dramatically from barrel to barrel. As a result, it can never be predicted what\u00a0proof the liquid will be until it is extracted.<\/p>\n
UNCUT AND UNALTERED<\/strong><\/p>\n The distillery has shared Maker\u2019s Mark directly from the barrel with brand\u00a0gatekeepers and bourbon enthusiasts for many years before bottling. Following\u00a0the enthusiasm it generated, the brand released Maker\u2019s Mark Cask Strength in\u00a0limited quantities outside the distillery. Now available in Global Travel Retail for\u00a0the first time, Maker\u2019s Mark Cask Strength will appeal to life long bourbon lovers\u00a0and beginners who enjoy discovering new products.<\/p>\n Bold and complex, the higher alcohol content of Maker\u2019s Mark Cask Strength (ABV 53-58%) doesn\u2019t overwhelm\u00a0the liquid, rather it intensifies the rich oak, vanilla and caramel flavours that Maker\u2019s Mark is known for.
