British luxury\u00a0fragrance brand Penhaligon’s is revealing the secrets of the British aristocracy, telling a fictional tale of establishment, humour and provocation through a collection of scents.<\/p>\n

Penhaligon\u2019s is launching its blue-blooded \u201cPortraits\u201d family with four founding members.\u00a0However, the perfume maker already has plans for new additions, set to expand this quirky clan in February 2017.<\/p>\n

The secrets of the aristocracy<\/strong><\/p>\n

The brand hints at the secrets of the British aristocracy with a new perfume collection featuring scents evoking a Lord, a Lady, a Duke and a Duchess.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Tragedy of Lord George<\/strong>\u201d is inspired by a respectable character, faithful to King and Country, who maintains an air of mystery around his real character and thoughts.<\/p>\n

This is captured in a masculine and elegant scent developed by Alberto Morillas. It’s a woody amber foug\u00e8re fragrance with notes of brandy, tonka bean and shaving soap.<\/p>\n

Next comes \u201cThe Revenge of Lady Blanche<\/strong>\u201d, based on a social butterfly with a dangerous bite.<\/p>\n

Hers is a green floral scent, designed by Daphn\u00e9 Bugey, with iris, narcissus and hyacinth.<\/p>\n

Daphn\u00e9 Bugey also concocted \u201cMuch Ado About the Duke<\/strong>\u201d, evoking an intriguing and ambivalent Duke with a spicy scent of rose, gin and woody notes.<\/p>\n

The final character in this opening chapter is \u201cThe Coveted Duchess Rose<\/strong>\u201d, a fresh, sweet and shy Duchess, urgently desirous of passion and romance. The scent, from Christophe Raynaud, captures the mood with notes of mandarin, rose and musky wood.<\/p>\n

The first fragrances from the \u201cPortraits\u201d collection are rolling out this week in Penhaligon\u2019s stores, concessions and on www.penhaligons.com<\/a><\/p>\n
