Within the next 12 months, Qatar Duty Free says it will further increase its retail offer at Doha’s Hamad International Airport by adding new luxury fashion brands such as Bottega Veneta, Ermenegildo Zegna and a new flagship Harrods store, to name just three in the future line up.<\/p>\n

The airport, which opened in 2014, already boasts many luxury fashion, watches & jewellery brands including Burberry, Bulgari, Chopard, Tiffany & Co, Bally, Tag Heuer, Herm\u00e8s and Hugo Boss, among others.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn support of the Qatar Airways route map growth, we are constantly focused on offering a lineup of products that is aligned with our passenger profile,\u201d Luis Gasset, Senior Vice President for Qatar Duty Free told TRBusiness<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe endeavour to provide \u2018something for everyone\u2019 and focus on niche and quality products.<\/p>\n

\u201cGiven the airline\u2019s expansion and the addition of new global destinations, growth is inevitable [and] QDF will continue to meet the desires of these new customers.\u201d<\/p>\n

According to Gasset, the commercial strategy is working, with travel retail sales continuing to grow in \u2018double-digits\u2019.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis approach can be seen with the recent addition of The Fragrance Kitchen products to our collection, a partnership we value due to the increasing popularity of this brand within the Middle East market,\u201d adds Gasset.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe exclusive VIP launch of TFK\u2019s chocolate was held within HIA, and the pop-up boutique has been well received by travellers.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cQatar Duty Free has maintained double-digit growth across all categories. As you would expect from travel retail, perfume & cosmetics, confectionery, and liquor & tobacco segments remain strong, with transactions increasing in line with demand from our customers.<\/p>\n

\u201cHarrods food and confectionery gifting items have seen notable growth and we will continue to support the brand with future development opportunities within QDF.<\/p>\n

QDF plans to increase the retail offer at the airport, welcoming new luxury fashion brands.<\/p>\n
