She is to appear in advertising for products such as Vernis \u00e0 L\u00e8vres, Touche Eclat, Tint in Balm in 2017 and the spring look for the L\u2019Or\u00e9al-owned brand.<\/p>\n<p>The 24-year-old is a rock guitarist, member of The Paranoids girl band, photographer and model. She is the daughter of Dire Straits guitarist Hal Lindes.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn today\u2019s fast-paced, digital world, individuality, experimentation and a fearlessness tempered by self-awareness are what define truly iconic beauty,\u201d YSL Beaut\u00e9 said in a statement.<\/p>\n<p>It added that Lindes \u201cencapsulates the very essence of 21st-century beauty\u201d and is \u201ca true representation of strong femininity today.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Stephen Bezy, international general manager of Yves Saint Laurent Beaut\u00e9, called Lindes \u201ca brilliant artist, true to herself and a symbol of her generation.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Plus she is no stranger to YSL, having modeled for the fashion brand last year.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDuring my high school years, I\u2019d copy the style of French actresses from the Sixties \u2014 the very actresses that [Monsieur] Saint Laurent had dressed.
