Deau Cognac is launching a special edition of XO with a rooster image to celebrate China\u2019s upcoming Year of the Rooster in 2017.<\/p>\n

The special release is a blend of Cognacs sourced mostly from Petite Champagne and Fins Bois and aged in 350-litre Limousin oak barrels for 15 to 20 years.<\/p>\n

The bottle\u2019s design drew inspiration from Chinese zodiac elements and created a rooster image using bold and bright colours to convey \u201cnew year wishes\u201d, the company said.<\/p>\n

The Cognac is described to have notes of \u201coak wood, lychee, jasmine, violets and dry plum\u201d. It has flavours of \u201ccinnamon, cocoa, coffee, mahogany and leather\u201d.<\/p>\n

Deau Cognac will release just 12,000 one-litre bottles worldwide. The Cognac sells for US$280 a bottle and will be available from January 2017.<\/p>\n

The Chinese Year of Rooster starts on January 28, 2017.<\/p>\n
