MAC Cosmetics celebrates this year\u2019s Valentine\u2019s Day by launching a Betty Boop Lipstick. The new limited edition sexy red colour is inspired by the iconic cartoon diva Betty Boop.<\/p>\n

With her doe eyes, pouty lips, hourglass figure, skimpy dresses and lacy garters, Betty Boop was one of the first popular cartoons to depict (and celebrate) the empowered, sexually liberated woman.<\/p>\n

In 2017, as women take to the streets to defend their reproductive rights, Betty\u2019s cultural relevance has not been lost on brands. On February 14 –\u00a0just in time for Val- or Gal-entine\u2019s Day –\u00a0Zac Posen will release two dresses inspired by the sassy sex symbol.<\/p>\n

That same day, M.A.C. Cosmetics will pay homage to Max Fleischer\u2019s feminist creation with an online-exclusive bright red lipstick named for the iconic character. (Red lipstick being one of the most powerful symbols of female beauty and sexuality in the Western world \u2014 apart from Betty.) The shade will retail for $17 and will surely sell out quickly.<\/p>\n
