Step aside, Birkin and Kelly \u2014 Herm\u00e8s is relaunching the Verrou Chaine clutch bag, which will have the ladies who lust over the famous French house\u2019s wares clamouring to get on the inevitable waitlist.<\/p>\n

The Verrou –\u00a0the name means \u201cbolt\u201d and refers to the bag\u2019s boltlike metal clasp – was first designed by Robert Dumas, a fourth-generation family member, in 1938.<\/p>\n

Although the Verrou has been re-imagined in a miniature size, it still packs a glamorous punch with its strong geometric shape and heavy-duty palladium-coated chain strap.<\/p>\n

The Verrou Chaine clutch bag ($8,000-$21,000) will be available in a variety of colours and styles including goatskin, Doblis calfskin, and alligator.<\/p>\n
