{"id":22116,"date":"2017-03-15T10:45:10","date_gmt":"2017-03-15T10:45:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.dutyfreehunter.com\/blog\/?p=22116"},"modified":"2019-01-23T10:32:15","modified_gmt":"2019-01-23T10:32:15","slug":"johnnie-walker-gives-platinum-label-refresh-duty-free","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.dutyfreehunter.com\/blog\/johnnie-walker-gives-platinum-label-refresh-duty-free\/","title":{"rendered":"Johnnie Walker gives Platinum Label a refresh for duty-free"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A luxury blend of up to 18 different whiskies each chosen for their remarkable depth of flavour and distillery character, Johnnie Walker Aged 18 Years is a re-branding of the multi-award winning Johnnie Walker Platinum Label.<br \/>\n<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Johnnie Walker Aged 18 Years is the creation of Master Blender Dr. Jim Beveridge \u2013 twice voted Master Blender of the Year \u2013 who has sought out the ultimate combination of complex and smooth 18-year-old whiskies drawn from the main whisky producing regions of Scotland.<\/p>\n<p>The former charcoal grey carton and label design have been replaced with a golden brown colour scheme, while the word \u2018Platinum\u2019 has been removed and replaced with \u2018Aged 18 Years\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>Johnnie Walker Aged 18 Years will be launched in various countries over the next few months and, to celebrate, Johnnie Walker owner Diageo has created a short film that explores how Jim Beveridge creates the blend.<\/p>\n<p><iframe title=\"Johnnie Walker Aged 18 Years: The Pursuit of the Ultimate 18-Year-Old Blended Scotch Whisky\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/rWqYaKeKIAE?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer;
