L\u2019Oreal Paris announced that it has joined forces with the luxury fashion house Balmain Paris on a limited edition lipstick collection. Despite having an impressive array of A-list ambassadors across its make-up, skincare and hair offerings, this is L\u2019Oreal Paris\u2019 first ever collaboration with a fashion house.<\/p>\n

Under the helm of designer Olivier Rousteing, Balmain has built a strong glamazon aesthetic, as well as its #BalmainArmy of supermodels, which includes Gigi Hadid and Kendall Jenner. It\u2019s also one of the few fashion houses that can be relied on to have a distinct hair and make-up look for it\u2019s show at Paris Fashion Week. There\u2019s no doubt, Rousteing will have injected some of that drama and glamour into the 12 Color Riche lipsticks that he\u2019s created for L\u2019Oreal Paris.<\/p>\n

So, what can we expect from the forthcoming lipstick collection? If previous collaborations are anything to go by, there will be more than a smattering of gold. Rousteing will be overseeing the shades, the packaging and the ad campaign. Being famously close to the Kardashian clan, no doubt there will be at least three nude shades within the 12 as a nod to Kim, who is regularly seen sporting a more natural lip colour.<\/p>\n

What L\u2019Oreal Paris has revealed is that while all 12 lipsticks will sit under the Color Riche line, there will be three star shades available as jewel editions, which will be available in Balmain Paris stores and selected retailers.<\/p>\n

The collection will be available from early September to coincide with Paris Fashion Week.<\/p>\n
