This was confirmed by the American actress, who shared the news on social media.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>L\u2019Or\u00e9al Paris \u2014 an official partner of the Cannes Film Festival \u2014 had announced that a new ambassador would be joining the brand during this year\u2019s festival fortnight. The name of the new spokesperson has now been revealed days before the glamorous event kicks off in the French Rivera resort.<\/p>\n<p>Elle Fanning has officially joined the club as the brand\u2019s latest \u201cLorealista\u201d in a prestigious line-up of international ambassadors. The star, who is just 19 years old, will make her debut for the brand at the Cannes Film Festival, where she also stars in Sofia Coppola\u2019s in-competition movie The Beguiled. The star told WWD that the cosmetics brand evokes the comforting smell of her grandmother\u2019s L\u2019Or\u00e9al Paris lipstick.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThank you @lorealmakeup for welcoming me into your empowering and fabulous family!!!
