{"id":25219,"date":"2017-07-18T12:18:08","date_gmt":"2017-07-18T11:18:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.dutyfreehunter.com\/blog\/?p=25219"},"modified":"2019-01-23T10:32:02","modified_gmt":"2019-01-23T10:32:02","slug":"angus-dundee-reveals-50-yo-blended-grain-scotch","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.dutyfreehunter.com\/blog\/angus-dundee-reveals-50-yo-blended-grain-scotch\/","title":{"rendered":"Angus Dundee reveals 50 yo Blended Grain Scotch"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Scotch maker Angus Dundee Distillers has launched its \u201cfirst very mature blended grain\u201d whisky \u2013 a 50-year-old expression.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><br \/>\nThe limited edition Angus Dundee 50 Year Old Blended Grain Scotch has been made using wheat, un-malted cereals and malted barley, and distilled in classic column stills.<\/p>\n<p>Just five American white oak barrels were selected to create the expression, said to offer flavours of vanilla, toffee, prunes, plums, spicy tobacco, and mocha chocolate.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI never thought mature grain whisky could exhibit such depth of flavour and quality,\u201d said Duncan Baldwin, brand development director. \u201cThis 50-year-old blend is extraordinarily good.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Angus Dundee 50 Year Old Blended Grain Scotch will be available in travel retail and select domestic markets. The UK RRP is \u00a3899, and \u20ac1,000 in Europe (US$1,146).
