Oslo Airport<\/b> (Norwegian<\/a>: Oslo Lufthavn<\/i><\/span>; IATA<\/a>: OSL<\/b>,\u00a0ICAO<\/a>: ENGM<\/b>) is the principal airport serving Oslo<\/a>, the capital<\/a> of and most populous city<\/a> in Norway. Oslo is also served by the low-cost Torp Airport<\/a> and Rygge Airport<\/a>. Oslo Airport acts as the main domestic hub<\/a> and international airport<\/a> for Norway, and is the second-busiest<\/a> airport in the Nordic countries. Being a hub for Scandinavian Airlines<\/a>, an operating base for Norwegian Air Shuttle<\/a>, and a focus city<\/a> for Wider\u00f8e<\/a>, it connects to 28 domestic and about 115 international destinations.\u00a0More than 24.2 million passengers travelled through the airport in 2014, making Oslo Airport the seventeenth-busiest<\/a> airport in Europe.<\/p>\n

The airport is located 19 nautical miles<\/a> (35\u00a0km; 22\u00a0mi) northeast of Oslo, at Gardermoen<\/a> in the municipality of Ullensaker<\/a>, in Akershus<\/a> county.\u00a0It has two parallel roughly north\u2013south runways<\/a> measuring 3,600 metres (11,811\u00a0ft) and 2,950 metres (9,678\u00a0ft) and 71 aircraft stands, of which 34 have jet bridges<\/a>. The airport is connected to the city centre by the high-speed railway Gardermoen Line<\/a> served by mainline trains<\/a> and Flytoget<\/a>. The ground facilities are owned by Oslo Lufthavn AS, a subsidiary of the state-owned Avinor<\/a>. Also at the premises is Gardermoen Air Station<\/a>, operated by the Royal Norwegian Air Force<\/a>. An expansion with a new terminal building and a third pier is scheduled to open in 2017.\u00a0Oslo Airport is the largest and busiest of three major international airports located around Oslo. The others are Torp<\/a> in the southwest and Rygge<\/a> in the southeast.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
