Travellers passing through five unique and very distinctive international airports will have a one-of-a-kind opportunity to purchase bottles of Jack Daniel\u2019s from a barrel of the Tennessee Whiskey specifically selected because its flavor and characteristics closely reflect the personality, reputation and vibrancy of that particular city.
\nThis unique travel retail exclusive was developed in collaboration between DFS Group\u2019s wines and spirits merchandising team and Jack Daniel\u2019s Master Distiller Jeff Arnett. The special city-themed bottles of Jack Daniel\u2019s Tennessee Whiskey will be available beginning in September 2017 at the DFS wines and spirits stores in the international airports in Singapore (SIN), New York (JFK), Los Angeles (LAX), San Francisco (SFO) and Honolulu (HNL).<\/p>\n
The city-themed bottles will contain Jack Daniel\u2019s 100 proof Traveler\u2019s Exclusive Single Barrel Tennessee Whiskey and are adorned with special medallions featuring quotes or witticisms associated with Mr. Jack or the iconic whiskey he created. JFK, SFO and HNL will have approximately 240 of the 750 ml bottles \u2013 the typical content of a Jack Daniel\u2019s barrel. SIN and LAX will have considerably more. Each bottle comes in a custom labeled gift box.

Members of the DFS wines and spirits merchandising team worked closely with Master Distiller Jeff Arnett and the Jack Daniel Distillery in Lynchburg, Tennessee, to identify the perfect barrel of Jack Daniel\u2019s to reflect the reputation and personality of the five international cities.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis was an especially fun and exciting project for me as I have spent considerable time in each of these cities and love their vastly different personalities and vibrancies. The DFS team and I began discussing our experiences in the different cities – touching on their vibes, lifestyles, cuisines, landscapes and social atmospheres. I then focused on these various attributes while going about sampling the barrels of Jack Daniel\u2019s Tennessee Whiskey until finding the perfect fit. The DFS team and I feel pretty comfortable that the folks who purchase and enjoy these whiskies will agree with our selections,\u201d Arnett said.<\/p>\n
