Highland Park’s Single Cask series – launched in May 2017 at London Heathrow and sold out in just over a month– has made its debut in Asia travel retail in partnership with DFS Group, the world’s leading luxury travel retailer, at DFS, Singapore Changi Airport. A DFS Singapore Changi Airport exclusive launch, with just 1,080 bottles available, these two bottlings are both customised with DFS Whiskey House Exclusive labels.

A limited release from Highland Park – the Orkney Single Malt with Viking Soul – every bottling of The Single Cask Series represents a rare opportunity for avid collectors and exceptional whisky lovers to discover the unique characteristics of a single particular cask. Each cask has been selected by the Master Blender for standing apart from the rest of the casks maturing at the Highland Park Distillery. These two bottlings are drawn from casks #284 and #2154, with only 474 and 606 bottles available respectively.

To mark the unveiling, Martin Markvardsen, Highland Park’s senior brand ambassador led a Meet & Greet Tasting Event at DFS’ T2 Whiskey House Bar at Changi International Airport. Martin guided keen shoppers through sampling of the two new limited editions and presented the first 30 purchasers with autographed bottles and an exclusive Highland Park t-shirt. At the end of the two hour session, 14 bottles of Highland Park Single Cask were sold.

Marcelo Colombo, Commercial Director at Edrington Asia Travel Retail, commented: “We have a long track-record of partnering with DFS at Singapore Changi Airport to leverage this exceptional location as the launchpad for new product innovations. Given our strong partnership with DFS and a growing momentum behind the Highland Park Brand in Asia, we are excited to launch the Single Cask series in the region, initially at DFS’ Whiskey House.”

Brooke Supernaw, Senior Vice President Spirits, Wine, Tobacco, Food and Gifts at DFS, added: “At DFS, we take great pride in offering new and exclusive products to our discerning travelling customers.
