{"id":28368,"date":"2017-12-13T10:45:44","date_gmt":"2017-12-13T10:45:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.dutyfreehunter.com\/blog\/?p=28368"},"modified":"2017-12-13T10:45:44","modified_gmt":"2017-12-13T10:45:44","slug":"hamleys-pops-londons-gatwick-airport-christmas","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.dutyfreehunter.com\/blog\/hamleys-pops-londons-gatwick-airport-christmas\/","title":{"rendered":"Hamleys pops up at London&#8217;s Gatwick Airport for Christmas"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>With Christmas just around the corner, a new Hamleys pop-up store \u2013 the only one of its kind in the UK \u2013 has been launched at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dutyfreehunter.com\/blog\/london-gatwick-airport-duty-free\/\">London Gatwick Airport<\/a>, making it easier for passengers to get their festive shopping all wrapped up while travelling this December.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Hamleys, the oldest toy shop in the world, has opened the 25m2 pop-up in Gatwick\u2019s North Terminal, offering a number of this year\u2019s must-have toys alongside an array of classic favourites.<\/p>\n<p>Products available at the Hamleys Gatwick store include Hatchimals &#8211; the interactive toys that have proven extremely popular around the world since their launch late last year \u2013 as well as other much-loved lines including Playmobil, Barbie, Transformers, Disney\u2019s Cars, and Paddington Bear. There will also be a sizeable selection of Hamleys own-brand products.<\/p>\n<p>The wide range of toys available at the Gatwick branch will cater to all budgets, with many of them specially selected for the airport due to their compact size and ability to fit neatly into passengers\u2019 hand luggage. All passengers can also take a shopping bag of new purchases on board with them.<\/p>\n<p>Throughout December, the Hamleys Gatwick staff will dress as Father Christmas\u2019 elves to provide passengers with a distinctly festive experience when visiting the store. The world-famous Hamley Bear will also make special appearances.<\/p>\n<p>Although the pop-up store has been launched for Christmas, it\u2019s set to remain a prominent feature of Gatwick\u2019s departure lounge throughout the winter and well into spring 2018.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Gatwick Airport\u2019s Head of Retail, Rachel Bulford, said:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs we reach the end of what has been an exciting year for retail at Gatwick, it\u2019s fantastic to add Hamleys \u2013 a truly iconic London brand \u2013 to our wealth of quality retailers.
