{"id":28726,"date":"2018-01-04T14:23:25","date_gmt":"2018-01-04T14:23:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.dutyfreehunter.com\/blog\/?p=28726"},"modified":"2018-01-04T14:23:25","modified_gmt":"2018-01-04T14:23:25","slug":"chanel-poised-return-seoul-incheon-airport-duty-free-new-terminal-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.dutyfreehunter.com\/blog\/chanel-poised-return-seoul-incheon-airport-duty-free-new-terminal-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Chanel poised to return to Seoul Incheon Airport duty free at new Terminal 2"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Chanel is poised to make a comeback at Incheon Airport \u2013 in the new Terminal 2 that will open later this month &#8212; nearly three years after its exit in May 2015.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Chanel is notoriously cautious with its store location selections, but Shinsegae Duty Free Shop was able to attract the brand half a year after it attained a permit to operate the new terminal&#8217;s duty-free shopping.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to Chanel, Shinsegae plans to brings stores (including Gucci and Jimmy Choo) and counters for around 170 Korean and international brands to the new terminal &#8211; across core categories such as beauty, fashion, watches, jewellery and accessories.<\/p>\n<p>Chanel had previously operated four stores at Incheon Airport Terminal 1, but closed all of them in 2015. The exit was due to disagreements with the duty-free operators on the terms of business. Industry watchers say Shinsegae\u2019s efforts and the stable relationship it has built with Chanel at its department stores played a critical role in convincing Chanel to open in Incheon Airport again.<\/p>\n<p>Standalone Chanel boutiques in airports are somewhat rare &#8211;
