MAC is getting the Jeremy Scott treatment thanks to a new makeup collaboration with the designer. Scott was brought on to introduce a limited-edition line of shades in his colourful and Jeremy-esque aesthetic.<\/p>\n

The limited edition lineup, out February 8 at maccosmetics.com<\/a>, is inspired by Scott\u2019s love for music – just check out the packaging. Compacts resemble a boombox, mixtape, and CD, to name a few.<\/p>\n

\u201cI love how music can take a room and alter it,\u201d he told Vogue. \u201cIt makes me feel real cozy. It\u2019s just kind of my house\u2019s calling card. You could have a white T-shirt and jeans on but do this full face of makeup and it\u2019s a totally different effect than a stripped-down look. I think it\u2019s fascinating.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Jeremy Scott x MAC collection features highlighter hues and shimmery finishes as well as a lip palette called \u201cFuture Emotion\u201d featuring nine shades like cool purple, deep wine, vibrant red, dusty brown, and matte nude. The cheek palette, called \u201cAcoustica,\u201d comes with a pearly powder highlighter, tone pink blush, and a matte bronzing powder. As for the eye palette, called \u201cLoFi,\u201d think 29 shadows in metallics, brown, fuchsia, lime green, and other Jeremy-approved shades.<\/p>\n

Scott, who most recently collaborated with Ugg on bedazzled boots and shoes, follows in the footsteps of MAC\u2019s colorful lineup of collaborators, including Hello Kitty, Giambattista Valli, The Simpsons, Wonder Woman, Selena, and more.<\/p>\n
