Prada has released its \u201cIn The Cities\u201d Spring 2018 Campaign, shot by\u00a0Willy Vanderperre against a vibrant urban LA backdrop.<\/p>\n

Prada\u2019s Spring 2018 365 Campaign, \u2018In the Cities,\u2019 launches in the fast lane, it\u2019s latest accessories campaign congruent to the pace of Los Angeles city life. The brand brings us through a picturesque way of fashioning bowler bags, nylon fanny packs and tear drop earrings dangling animated spiders and desk phones. With bold graphics and rapid serial storytelling the Italian fashion house offers a new collection of accessories.<\/p>\n

Willy Vanderperre, photographer of both film and video directs the campaign with quick-paced tenacity that is captured in the sequence of events. Characteristic of graphic novels and comics, an assortment of handbag designs share a vignette of a greater collection of boxy blazers, baby doll dresses and button down blouses. Designs including backpacks, cross body bags and the brand\u2019s classic nylon shoulder purses carrying stories of life and characters home to the city of Los Angeles. Such stories are told in illustrations of industrial buildings, a damsel in distress and political monkeys; each image representing a life, perspective and point of view found in the city. In addition to these drawings, bejewelling studs converse to accessorise a variety of belts, bags and key chains with loud expression. Racing video content and roadside still images embody the vibrancy, rebellion and fearlessness of the West coast\u2019s capital. The voice of Los Angeles\u2019 youth culture became a character among others uniquely told with each piece. Models photograph along modern skyscraper backdrops tagged with graphic novel illustrations. The architecture, society of thought and people become a fashion statement.<\/p>\n

Social media, yet another youthful attribute of the campaign becomes an active tool to share fashion and tell the stories featured in the campaign.
