Jameson Bow Street 18 Years Cask Strength \u2014 the first cask strength Jameson to be available globally \u2014 is made with a blend of pot still and grain Irish whiskeys which are then \u2018married\u2019 and re-casked in American oak barrels previously used for Bourbon production for around six to 12 months.<\/p>\n

The first batch \u2014 presented at 55.3% ABV \u2014 will be available in 20 markets from July 2018 with a retail price of around \u20ac240 (\u00a3210).\u00a0<\/span>The cask-strength whiskey, which is produced at Irish Distillers\u2019 Midleton Distillery in County Cork, is one of many recent initiatives by Jameson which taps into the rising popularity of craft spirits.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cMarrying\u201d is a traditional method of re-casking batches of vatted whiskey and re-warehousing it to ensure infusion before bottling.
