The joint project has been pitched as a \u2018meeting of two icons\u2019, according to a teaser press release circulated by Dom P\u00e9rignon, the Mo\u00ebt Hennessy-owned Champagne house.<\/p>\n
The announcement was precipitated by a breadcrumb trail of social media posts via Dom P\u00e9rignon\u2019s Instagram account, which began two days ago.<\/p>\n
The posts feature flickering film sequences of four-time Grammy Award winner, Lenny Kravitz, playing piano at Westlake Studios in West Hollywood alongside glasses of DP, with enigmatic captions like \u2018inner fire\u2019 and \u2018inspiration comes full circle\u2019.<\/p>\n
\u2018I have friends who like to have people over and it\u2019s centred around opening a bottle of Champagne and celebrating life just because it\u2019s Tuesday,\u2019 said Kravitz in one video.<\/p>\n
Artistic projects are nothing new for Dom P\u00e9rignon, which is part of the LVMH wine portfolio \u2013 a company well known for launching collaborations across its luxury brands.<\/p>\n
Previous Dom P\u00e9rignon creative projects have featured artists Jeff Koons, Michael Riedel and Tokujin Yoshioka, as well as fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld.<\/p>\n

Although the connection between an American rockstar film actor and French Champagne may seem tenuous, in 2011 Kravitz received the honour of \u2018Chevalier of the Order of Arts and Letters\u2019 \u2013 one of France\u2019s highest cultural accolades \u2013 for his work against interracial barriers in the music industry.<\/p>\n
