Maestro Ronero Nelson Hern\u00e1ndez is particularly excited for the 2004 Vintage release. \u201cThe 2004 is slightly more dry and oaky than that of previous years. \nDiplom\u00e1tico Single Vintage<\/strong> is crafted from a selection of special rum reserves selected by the\u00a0Maestros Roneros (Master Blenders) for their distinctive character. Distilled in vintage copper pot\u00a0stills in 2004, the rum is then aged for twelve years in American white oak casks that previously\u00a0served to age bourbon and whisky. After the aging process, the Maestros Roneros carefully\u00a0blend the rum in order to obtain the structure, body, personality, flavors and aromas that they are\u00a0looking for. Finally, the rum spends a year in Oloroso Sherry casks to provide the perfect finish.<\/p>\n
